Air Plant
Tillandsia spp. · Bromeliaceae
How it looks
The Air Plant (Tillandsia) is a small plant that grows suspended in the air without soil, its fine gray-green to silvery leaves spreading out in all directions in a star shape. The leaves are covered with scale-like white hairs that shimmer in the light. It is 2–12 in (5–30 cm) in size.
Air Plant (Air Plant) has no known toxicity to cats. It's a safe plant that grows in the air without any soil.
Guide for parents
With no soil, there's no fertilizer-ingestion risk — a tidy plant to live with. It is lightweight and falls easily, though, and a cat may treat it like a toy. If it drops, simply hanging it back up is all the upkeep needed. Provide moisture by misting once or twice a week or soaking it for 10–20 minutes, and let it dry thoroughly afterward to prevent rot.
